Episode #13: Creating a 'pick your own' on every street corner

Incredible Edible interview

Imagine a community where street corners were full of growing edibles which not only look great, but gives us food to pick and share. In this podcast we chat to Dan from Incredible Edibles Leeds about their vision for just this. Its really about making more meaningful relationships with those we live around. We love it!

About a year ago, Dan began to dream about the patch of grass outside his house where he and his family live. Loads of people pass each day, of all ages, and he wondered if this patch could look a little more interesting. But instead of planting some attractive flowers, he wondered if they planted strawberries, would neighbours enjoy picking some for free as they went to work or school?

Dan partnered with others who had similar thoughts and became part of Incredible Edibles. Their vision is to create kind, confident and connected communities through the power of food. Discover more at https://www.incredibleedible.org.uk

Nick and Linda also discuss the challenges of re-opening a cafe in this COVID-Secure environment of 2020, including what they’ve changed to keep income strong whilst keeping to the important rules and creating a safe space.

And the usual chat around the latest TV - this time its the new BBC four-part drama ‘Us’.
